What this app does

Plainwork Bulk Metafields edits metafields on products and variants in your Shopify store. It records the previous value of anything it changes so that edits can be reversed.

What we store

When you install the app, we store:

• Your store’s domain and an access token issued by Shopify, so the app can act on your store.
• A record of each bulk edit you make: which products or variants were affected, the metafield namespace and key, and the value before and after the change.

What we do not store

We do not store customer records, orders, payment details, or any personal data belonging to your customers. The app only ever reads and writes product and variant metafields, and only the specific metafield you choose to edit.

We never see your payment information. Billing is handled entirely by Shopify and charged through your existing Shopify invoice.

Why we store edit history

The record of previous values exists solely so that an edit can be undone. Without it, undo would not be possible.

How long we keep it

• Edit history is retained for 30 days, after which the recorded values are deleted and the edit can no longer be undone. A summary of what happened remains visible in your history.
• When you uninstall the app, Shopify notifies us and we delete your access token immediately. Around 48 hours later Shopify sends a data erasure request, at which point we delete all remaining data for your store.

Who we share it with

No one. We do not sell, rent, or share your data, and we do not use it for advertising or analytics. The only third party involved is the hosting provider that runs the app and its database on our behalf.

Your rights

You can delete all data held about your store at any time by uninstalling the app. If you would like your data removed sooner, or want to know what is held about your store, contact us at the address below and we will action it.

If we change how data is handled, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised.
